The special inner cup shaped like an ice-cream cone, allows the cup to be emptied without having to lean the head back. Independent drinking is no problem if neck or arm mobility is restricted, or even in a semi-upright position. The inconspicuous drinking lid disappears discreetly into the cup, so nobody is stigmatised at the table. However, the all-round slits enable independent drinking. The amount of liquid is reduced, but the mouth remains active during the drinking process and the swallowing reflex in particular is encouraged. The cup can be used intuitively from all sides and does not need to be orientated. The mug can be combined with all other ORNAMIN drinking lids.
In addition, the two large, ergonomic handles of the cup provide support for limited finger movement, weak hands and lack of hand closure. The cup can be lifted either with open hands in the handles or with all fingers on the outside. Additional stability is provided by the thumb rests on the handles. Due to the low weight of the cup, independent drinking remains possible for a long time even if there is a lack of strength in the arms.
Thanks to an insulating layer in the cup wall, the drink retains the desired temperature for longer. With this cup, you can enjoy your drink for longer. In combination with the ORNAMIN drinking lids, the effect is further enhanced. The large base of the cup also provides a firm stand on the table. Nothing tips over here, even if the cup is pushed across the table or gets a knock. Independent drinking helps to maintain independence at the table and promotes muscle development and mobility. It also relieves the burden on carers. Whether colourful or plain, there is something for everyone here. The two colour look encourages drinking thanks to the bright outer colour, but the colour of the drink remains unaltered in the white cup. This helps people with impaired vision or dementia in particular to drink independently. And thanks to the simple design, the cup does not stand out on the table, so no one is stigmatised and everyone enjoys eating together.
