EATING WITH ONE HAND The plate with integrated supportive features combines three functions in one discreet piece of tableware. If only one hand is available or motor skills are limited, users can continue to eat independently and with confidence. The sloped base of the plate collects foods such as soup, peas, yoghurt or muesli at the lowest point. An overhang in the rim of the plate supports pushing the food onto the spoon or fork, making eating easier and more controlled. A non-slip ring in the base of the plate keeps it firmly positioned on the table when spooning against the overhang. This provides stability and safety, even when strength or coordination is reduced. Thanks to the discreet, integrated functions, the plate can be used completely intuitively and does not need to be aligned. It works with any spoon movement and is suitable for both left- and right-handed users. There is also a noticeable tactile reference point located under the rim, providing additional orientation for visually impaired users. The plate is made from high-quality, break-resistant plastic. It is BPA-free, food-safe and dishwasher-safe, making it ideal for everyday use at home as well as in care, rehabilitation and therapeutic environments.

EATING WITH ONE HAND This children’s plate is designed to support independent eating in a natural and playful way. It combines several clever features in one unobtrusive plate and is ideal for children who currently need a little extra support when eating with one hand or with reduced motor skills. The gently sloped base guides food such as soup, peas, yoghurt or muesli towards the lowest point of the plate, making it easier to scoop. A subtle overhang on the rim allows food to be pushed smoothly onto a spoon or fork, while a non-slip ring in the base keeps the plate securely in place when pressure is applied. The cheerful children’s decoration adds joy to every mealtime, encourages confidence and helps make eating a positive experience. All supportive features are discreetly integrated, so the plate can be used intuitively without explanation. It works equally well for left- and right-handed children and does not need to be positioned in a specific way. A tactile marking underneath the rim provides an additional orientation aid. This thoughtful design helps children enjoy their meals with greater independence – without the plate feeling like a special aid.

SUPPORT FOR ONE-HANDED EATING The eating board is a thoughtfully designed eating aid for people who, due to physical limitations such as paralysis, injury or a broken arm, can only use one hand. Three raised edges keep the slice of bread securely in place and allow easy one-handed spreading without the bread slipping. A continuous non-slip ring on the underside ensures that the eating board stays firmly on the table while spreading or cutting. This provides stability and safety, even with reduced strength or limited mobility. When combined with the preparation aid, the one-handed eating board supports not only eating but also food preparation in the kitchen. Bread rolls, cucumbers or apples can be fixed in place and cut using just one hand. The eating board is suitable for both right- and left-handed users and can be used flexibly in any direction. The raised edges also make it easier to lift the eating board from the table with just one hand, without having to push it to the edge of the table. It can be stacked compactly for space-saving storage in cupboards. Made from scratch-resistant, break-resistant high-quality plastic, the eating board is food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. This makes it ideal for everyday use at home, in care settings or in therapeutic environments.

PRACTICAL ACCESSORY FOR ONE-HANDED FOOD PREPARATION This preparation aid is a practical accessory for the food preparation boards and supports safe and independent one-handed food preparation. It provides reliable grip when cutting, peeling or preparing food such as fruit, vegetables or bread rolls. By holding food securely in place, the preparation aid makes it easier to slice, cut or prepare ingredients using just one hand. Everyday tasks such as cutting an apple, slicing vegetables or preparing a bread roll become more accessible and can be carried out with confidence and control. The preparation aid can be easily attached with one hand to any of the three edges of the ORNAMIN food preparation boards and positioned flexibly. It is suitable for both left- and right-handed users and helps support independence in the kitchen – discreetly, intuitively and without the need for complex tools.

INDEPENDENT DRINKING – WITHOUT TILTING THE HEAD BACK This adaptive cup with an integrated drinking aid supports independent drinking for adults with limited neck or arm mobility. The specially shaped inner cone allows the liquid to flow towards the mouth with only a slight tilt. There is no need to lean the head back or lift the arms excessively. Ideal as a cup for elderly people, for Parkinson’s, after stroke, during rehabilitation or for anyone with reduced motor skills. The drinking support is discreetly built into the design. From the outside, the cup looks like a normal everyday cup – a dignified alternative to a traditional sippy cup or spouted beaker. This reduces stigma and encourages confident drinking at home, in care homes or in clinical settings. TWO HANDLED CUP FOR A SAFE AND SECURE GRIP The two large ergonomic handles provide stability for weak hands, tremors or reduced grip strength. The cup can be held either by placing open hands through the handles or by gripping around them. Integrated thumb rests offer additional control. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the cup remains easy to lift even with limited arm strength. A wide, stable base ensures the cup stands securely on the table. It remains steady when gently pushed or accidentally nudged, making it a reliable disability drinking aid for everyday use. INSULATED CUP WITH CONTROLLED FLOW OPTION The double-walled design with an insulating air layer keeps drinks warmer or cooler for longer. When combined with compatible drinking lids, the flow of liquid can be reduced and controlled. This is particularly helpful for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) or those who need slower, safer drinking. The two-colour design also supports independent drinking. The outer colour provides visual stimulation, while the white inner cup keeps the drink clearly visible. This can help people with visual impairments or dementia better recognise the liquid level. A thoughtfully designed drinking aid cup that promotes independence, dignity and safety – whether at home, in nursing care, hospitals or rehabilitation environments.

DISCREET DRINKING CUP FOR INDEPENDENT DRINKING No more stigmatising spouted cups: This drinking cup for independent drinking provides subtle support without looking like an assistive aid. Its elegant, everyday design feels like a regular cup and is therefore often better accepted – both at home and in professional care settings. The specially shaped inner cup, similar to an ice cream cone, allows the drink to flow towards the mouth with just a slight tilting movement. The head and arm hardly need to be raised. This makes drinking easier for people with limited neck or arm mobility as well as when drinking in a semi-upright position. The cup is intuitive to use and does not need to be aligned. Drinking is possible all around the rim, from any position. For additional safety, compatible ORNAMIN drinking aids can be combined with the cup, allowing the drinking volume to be individually controlled. INSULATING, HIGH-CONTRAST AND VERSATILE An insulating air layer between the inner and outer cup helps beverages stay at the desired temperature for longer. Hot drinks remain warm, while cold drinks stay cool. This is ideal for people who drink slowly and want to enjoy their beverages at their own pace. When used together with a drinking aid, this effect can be further enhanced. The drinking cup is available in a wide range of colours. The white inner cup does not alter the colour of the beverage and makes the drinking rim clearly visible. The high-contrast two-tone design supports orientation, especially for people with visual impairments or dementia, and helps facilitate independent drinking. Overall, the cup enables independent and dignified drinking at an individual pace. Adequate fluid intake is particularly important in later life. At the same time, independent drinking supports mobility and muscle function while reducing the workload for carers and family members.
