Description

INDIVIDUALLY ADAPTED – SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT EATING

This spoon can be adapted to different gripping abilities and ranges of movement. The spoon head can be combined with seven different attachable handles to meet individual support needs. Depending on the design, the handle can make it easier to hold, guide or turn the spoon. This supports people with limited hand, arm or wrist mobility in eating soups, puréed foods and other spoonable meals as independently as possible.

The spoon head is made from high-quality plastic, which feels less cold and hard in the mouth than metal. The comfortable contact with the lips, teeth and mouth may be particularly beneficial for people with increased oral sensitivity and support a more relaxed eating experience.

Handle Ball Handle Ball
Handle Ball

LARGE BALL-SHAPED HANDLE – EASY TO HOLD WITH THE WHOLE HAND With a diameter of 5 cm, the ball-shaped handle provides a large gripping surface and can be held using the palm and available fingers. It does not require the hand to close tightly around the handle. This can make cutlery easier to use when slim handles are difficult to grip or finger movement is limited. The hollow handle is made from a rubber-like, slightly flexible material. It compresses gently and adapts comfortably to the hand when gripped. The ridged surface provides additional grip. The ball-shaped handle can be combined with the compatible fork, spoon and knife heads to support independent eating.

ELLIPTICAL HANDLE – LARGE GRIPPING SURFACE FOR CONTROLLED GUIDANCE The elongated elliptical handle, measuring 5 cm in diameter and 10.5 cm in length, provides a large contact surface for the whole hand. This allows the cutlery to be held across the palm without requiring a tight grip around a narrow handle. The elongated shape also provides additional orientation and can make the cutlery easier to guide and control. The elliptical handle offers a choice of gripping positions and can also rest against the heel of the hand. This distributes the grip over a larger area and helps prevent the handle from twisting in the hand. It can be useful when finger movement is limited or narrow cutlery handles are difficult to hold and position. The handle is made from a rubber-like, slightly flexible material that can be gently compressed. Its grooved surface provides additional grip. The elliptical handle can be combined with the matching fork, spoon and knife attachments to support independent eating.

Handle cylinder Handle cylinder

CYLINDRICAL HANDLE – EVEN GRIP AND CONTROLLED GUIDANCE The cylindrical handle, measuring 5 cm in diameter and 8 cm in length, provides a large, evenly shaped gripping surface for the whole hand. This allows the cutlery to be held without requiring a tight grip around a narrow handle. Its straight shape offers a choice of gripping positions without imposing a specific hand position. The consistent thickness distributes the grip across the full width of the hand. This can make the cutlery easier to handle when narrow handles are difficult to grip or finger movement is limited. The cylindrical handle is therefore suitable for flexible, broad-handed gripping and controlled guidance of the cutlery. The handle is made from a rubber-like, slightly flexible material that can be gently compressed. Its grooved surface provides additional grip. The cylindrical handle can be combined with the matching fork, spoon and knife attachments to support independent eating.

AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO HOLD AND GUIDE CUTLERY The straight 90° handle allows the cutlery to be held from the side or with the whole hand. The cutlery attachment sits at a right angle to the elongated handle, so it does not need to be held between the fingers like conventional cutlery. This provides an alternative grip for a variety of hand and gripping abilities. ROTATING CONNECTION FOR INDIVIDUAL POSITIONING The connection to the cutlery attachment can be rotated, allowing a spoon, fork or knife to be positioned according to the user’s hand and arm posture. The position can be adjusted individually and changed whenever required. WIDE HAND SUPPORT WITH FINGER GROOVES The elongated handle provides a generous support area for the hand. Grooves on the underside guide the fingers and make the cutlery easier to hold and control. The 90° handle offers a practical alternative when a slim, conventional cutlery handle cannot be fully enclosed by the hand.

HOLD AND GUIDE CUTLERY AT A SLIGHT ANGLE The 110° handle allows the cutlery to be held from the side or with the whole hand. The wider angle positions the cutlery attachment at a slight incline to the elongated handle. This provides an alternative alignment without having to hold the cutlery between the fingers in the conventional way. ROTATING CONNECTION FOR INDIVIDUAL POSITIONING The connection to the cutlery attachment can be rotated, allowing a spoon, fork or knife to be positioned according to the user’s hand and arm posture. The position can be adjusted individually and changed whenever required. Compared with the 90° handle, the 110° angle provides a slightly different range of movement. WIDE HAND SUPPORT WITH FINGER GROOVES The elongated handle provides a generous support area for the hand. Grooves on the underside guide the fingers and make the cutlery easier to hold and control. The 110° handle offers a practical alternative when a slim, conventional cutlery handle cannot be fully enclosed by the hand.

AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO HOLD AND GUIDE CUTLERY The handle with two supports offers a different way to hold cutlery without having to wrap the whole hand around a conventional handle. The cutlery is guided using three adjacent fingers, making it an option worth trying for people with different hand and grip abilities. CAREFUL GUIDANCE USING THREE FINGERS The middle finger is inserted into the sleeve and rests on a curved support. The two adjacent fingers are positioned beneath the outer supports. This arrangement connects the fingers to the handle and can help stabilise the cutlery from the sides and guide it with greater control. FOR INDIVIDUAL GRIP ABILITIES The handle may provide an alternative for people with limited grip strength, restricted finger movement or limited thumb function. This type of finger guidance may also help people who find that a conventional cutlery handle slips easily from their hand or cannot be held securely.

Handle with cuff Handle with cuff
Handle with cuff

USE CUTLERY WITHOUT GRIPPING THE HANDLE The cutlery cuff makes it possible to use a piece of cutlery without having to wrap the whole hand around a conventional handle. Its oval opening allows the cuff to be slipped over two or three fingers. The cutlery is guided by the movement of the hand and can support independent eating. FOR DIFFERENT HAND AND GRIP ABILITIES The cuff is particularly suitable for people who are unable or have limited ability to close their fingers around a cutlery handle. Depending on the individual hand shape, it may also be used with shortened or partially formed fingers. It provides a practical alternative to conventional thickened cutlery handles. COMPACT OVAL SHAPE The opening measures approximately 5 cm in width and 2.5 cm in height. With a depth of approximately 5 cm, the cuff accommodates several fingers and offers different positioning options. The most comfortable position depends on the individual hand shape and mobility and should be determined through personal use.

THE DISCREET EVERYDAY HELPER The days of spouted cups and cut-out nose cups are over – thanks to the mug with drinking trick. Its supportive function is subtly integrated into the elegant design and is not recognisable as an aid from the outside. This helps prevent the drinking aid from being rejected from the outset or users feeling stigmatised or uncomfortable. A specially shaped inner cup – similar to an ice cream cone – ensures that drinks flow into the mouth with just a slight tilting movement. There is no need to tilt the head back or raise the arm significantly. This allows independent drinking for people with limited neck or arm mobility, as well as when sitting in a semi-upright position. The mug is intuitive to use and does not need to be consciously aligned: drinking is possible from any point around the rim. For added safety, various drinking attachments can be used, allowing the drinking volume to be individually controlled. A SECURE GRIP The large, ergonomically shaped handle supports people with limited finger mobility, reduced hand strength or an impaired grip. It offers several gripping options: the mug can be held in the handle with an open hand or the handle can be fully enclosed with all fingers. An integrated thumb rest provides additional stability. The mug’s low weight makes it easier to handle when strength in the hands and arms is reduced. A large base area also ensures excellent stability: the mug is less likely to tip over – even when pushed across the table or given a slight knock. VERSATILE SUPPORT An insulating air layer between the inner and outer cup keeps drinks at temperature for longer. This gives people who drink slowly more time to enjoy hot drinks warm and cold drinks cool. This effect can be further enhanced by using drinking attachments. The mug is available in many attractive colours. The white inner cup ensures that the colour of the drink remains true and that the drinking rim is clearly visible. The high-contrast two-colour design particularly supports people with visual impairments or dementia when drinking independently. Overall, the mug with drinking trick enables independent, stylish drinking at one’s own pace. Adequate fluid intake is of great nutritional importance, especially in older age. At the same time, independent drinking promotes mobility and muscle activity, strengthens self-esteem and relieves both professional caregivers and family carers.

EATING WITH ONE HAND This specially designed plate combines three supportive functions in one discreet piece of tableware. It enables people with limited motor skills or one-handed use to eat independently and confidently, without the appearance of a visible aid. The gently sloped base guides foods such as soup, peas, yoghurt or muesli towards the lowest point of the plate. A subtle food-retaining rim makes it easier to transfer meals onto a spoon or fork, supporting controlled and frustration-free eating. An integrated non-slip ring on the underside keeps the plate securely positioned on the table, even when pressure is applied while spooning against the rim. This provides stability and safety for users with reduced strength, tremors or limited mobility. All functional elements are discreetly integrated, allowing the plate to be used intuitively without any specific positioning. It works with any spoon movement and is equally suitable for left- and right-handed users. A tactile reference point located beneath the rim offers additional orientation for visually impaired users. Made from break-resistant high-quality plastic, the plate is dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe. This makes it ideal for everyday use at home as well as in care environments, rehabilitation settings and therapeutic facilities.

INDEPENDENT DRINKING – WITHOUT TILTING THE HEAD BACK This adaptive cup with an integrated drinking aid supports independent drinking for adults with limited neck or arm mobility. The specially shaped inner cone allows the liquid to flow towards the mouth with only a slight tilt. There is no need to lean the head back or lift the arms excessively. Ideal as a cup for elderly people, for Parkinson’s, after stroke, during rehabilitation or for anyone with reduced motor skills. The drinking support is discreetly built into the design. From the outside, the cup looks like a normal everyday cup – a dignified alternative to a traditional sippy cup or spouted beaker. This reduces stigma and encourages confident drinking at home, in care homes or in clinical settings. TWO HANDLED CUP FOR A SAFE AND SECURE GRIP The two large ergonomic handles provide stability for weak hands, tremors or reduced grip strength. The cup can be held either by placing open hands through the handles or by gripping around them. Integrated thumb rests offer additional control. Thanks to its lightweight construction, the cup remains easy to lift even with limited arm strength. A wide, stable base ensures the cup stands securely on the table. It remains steady when gently pushed or accidentally nudged, making it a reliable disability drinking aid for everyday use. INSULATED CUP WITH CONTROLLED FLOW OPTION The double-walled design with an insulating air layer keeps drinks warmer or cooler for longer. When combined with compatible drinking lids, the flow of liquid can be reduced and controlled. This is particularly helpful for people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) or those who need slower, safer drinking. The two-colour design also supports independent drinking. The outer colour provides visual stimulation, while the white inner cup keeps the drink clearly visible. This can help people with visual impairments or dementia better recognise the liquid level. A thoughtfully designed drinking aid cup that promotes independence, dignity and safety – whether at home, in nursing care, hospitals or rehabilitation environments.
