The Osnabrück Student Union was looking for a sustainable solution for transporting its to-go offerings and decided on ORNAMIN's reusable, returnable bowls. The individual "MEHRbeWEGen" design gives the bowls a great recognition value and makes them an eye-catcher. Following its successful introduction in the refectories, the deposit system was also extended to the cafeterias. In the period from November 2020 to December 2021 alone, over 250,000 to-go meals were sold, almost 75% of which were in the ORNAMIN returnable trays. This means that almost 200,000 disposable trays and just as many disposable lids were saved during this period. A great contribution to protecting the environment! "In 2008, we decided to introduce new tableware in our canteens. ORNAMIN developed the tableware series in campus style according to our specifications, which we have been using ever since and from which the students and the student union benefit equally. Above all, the material characteristics of melamine are very much in line with our wishes and daily requirements. Since then, we appreciate the close and cooperative exchange with ORNAMIN and look forward to further joint projects.“

BREAK-PROOF CANTEEN TABLEWARE

In addition to the to-go bowls, the Studentenwerk Osnabrück also uses ORNAMIN canteen dishes, for example green bowls for the Mensa Active offer or the popular "Hits for Kids" plate, with which the Studentenwerk makes a nice contribution in terms of social sustainability. To make everyday life easier for students with children, their offspring receive a free meal up to the age of 10. A colourfully designed plate made of scratch- and break-resistant quality plastic from ORNAMIN is used especially for this offer.
