Special eating and drinking aids with hidden features
Due to the possible consequences of a stroke such as hemiplegia, numbness in the arms and legs, speech disorders, difficulties to swallow, impaired vision, shaky hands, limited movement in the neck or no functional second hand, eating and drinking becomes a real challenge for many stroke patients and carers. The smart ORNAMIN stroke tableware is intuitively usable and offers invisibly hidden supportive features which support independent eating and drinking while looking like common tableware and not classic care aids. Whether special plate with sloped base and raised rim, non-slip plates and bowls, aids for single-handed use or a strong tremor. The special aids have been developed together with people in need of care, occupational therapists and professional carers and are important daily living aids for stroke patients, carers working in the field of home care as well as in care institutions, assisted living, nursing homes, care homes and hospitals.

Better than spouted mug and food bumper
Spouted mugs, food bumper, nose cups, dysphagia mugs and cutting boards are essential parts of the care nowadays. A disadvantage of classic care products is that they are clearly noticeable as tableware for the disabled due to their characteristics. To avoid this kind of stigmatisation, the supportive features of the ORNAMIN care aids are hidden in the design. The special ORNAMIN mugs make spouted cups or dysphagia cups redundant. A conically shaped inner mug enables people with difficulties to swallow (dysphagia) to drink easily and independently - also while lying. The ORNAMIN special plates replace food bumpers and non-slip mats, especially in case of strong trembles (tremor). The non-slip, ergonomic ORNAMIN cutlery functions like cutlery for single-handed use or a dysphagia spoon and is intuitively usable just like the whole ORNAMIN care tableware.
