Independent eating and drinking with Parkinson's
Shaking and a tremor are the most significant signs of Parkinson's patients. As a rest tremor the muscle tremor occurs particularly often. For patients the psychological stress increases due to the visibility of the disease: slow movements, muscle stiffness, posture instability and swallowing disorders. Something is spilled quite quickly while drinking because shaky hands cannot hold the glass tightly enough. Simple movements such as holding a knife or fork become a real challenge. The ORNAMIN Parkinson's crockery supports people concerned in staying active and maintaining independence while eating and drinking. Thereby the eating and drinking aids look like common tableware and not like classc care tableware as the supportive features are invisibly hidden in the design.

Parkinson's aid for hand tremor and cramps
The special ORNAMIN aids have been developed together with people in need of care, occupational therapists and professional carers and are an important daily living aid for Parkinson's patients, nursing relatives as well as care institutions, assisted living, nursing homes, care homes and hospitals. The ORNAMIN Parkinson's plates replace food bumpers and non-slip place mats, especially in case of strong trembles (tremor). The ORNAMIN Parkinson's cups make spouted mugs, nose cups or dysphagia mugs redundant. Due to a conically shaped inner mug people with difficulties to swallow (dysphagia) can drink easily and independently - also while lying. The non-slip, ergonomic ORNAMIN Parkinson's cutlery functions like curved cutlery for single-handed use or a dysphagia spoon and is usable with one hand just like the whole ORNAMIN care tableware.
