Independent eating and drinking with MS
Due to the often occuring coordination and movement disorders, difficulties to swallow (dysphagia), numbness or tingling in the arms, legs or torso, independent eating and drinking becomes a real challenge for many MS patients, especially if additionally the typical vision disorders of MS occur which limit the contrast sensivity as well as sharp seeing.

Special eating and drinking aids with hidden features
The smart ORNAMIN multiple sclerosis tableware is intuitively usable and has invisibly hidden supportive features in the design which aim to maintain independence. The eating and drinking aids look like common crockery and not like classic care aids. Whether special plate with sloped base and raised rim, non-slip plates and bowls, aids for single-handed use to eat with only one hand or a strong tremor. The special aids have been developed with people in need of care, occupational therapists and professional carers and are an important daily living aid for MS patients, nursing relatives as well as for carers in care institutions, assisted living, nursing homes, care homes and hospitals.

The alternative to the spouted cup and food bumper
Nowadays spouted mugs, food bumpers, nose cups and dysphagia cups are often used in the care. A disadvantage of classic care aids is that they are clearly noticeable as 'tableware for the disabled' due to their characteristics. The supportive features of the ORNAMIN eating and drinking aids instead are intelligently and invisibly hidden in the design. The ORNAMIN special mugs make spouted cups or dysphagia cups redundant. A conically shaped inner mug of the ORNAMIN mugs with internal cone ensures that patients can drink independently and easily - also while lying. The ORNAMIN special plates replace food bumpers and non-slip place mats, especially in case of strong trembles (tremor). The non-slip, ergonomic ORNAMIN cutlery functions like curved cutlery for single-handed use and is intuitively usable just like the whole ORNAMIN care tableware.
